Cookies Notice
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to save, so the site recognises you when you come back. We keep them to the minimum we need. Here is the full list. It has two entries.
You can disable optional cookies at any time from the footer of any page. Disabling the essential cookie will log you out; the site will still work, but you won't be able to run a paid report.
Essential · Always on
Name session · Purpose Keeps you signed in between page views and remembers your cart of report credits. Lifetime Seven days, or until you log out. Data An opaque random token — no personal data stored in the cookie itself.
This cookie is strictly necessary for the service to work. Under UK PECR we do not need consent for it.
Optional · Off by default
Name _ga, _ga_* · Purpose Aggregated traffic and page-view measurement (Google Analytics 4) so we can see which pages get read and where to improve the product. Lifetime Up to two years. Data A randomised client ID, page paths, and timestamps. Loaded only after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner.
This cookie is off by default. We ask once on first visit; if you say no, we do not set it and we do not ask again. You can change your answer from the footer link "Cookie preferences".
What we don't use
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use cross-site tracking cookies. We do not use Facebook Pixel or any third-party marketing tag. We do load Google Analytics 4 for aggregated traffic measurement, but only after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner — never by default. The session cookie above is the only cookie Verif-AI itself sets; analytics cookies are set by Google, only with your consent.
Third-party cookies
When you pay, Stripe may set cookies on its own domain (stripe.com) to detect fraud. These are Stripe's cookies under Stripe's privacy terms, not ours. We link to Stripe's privacy notice on the checkout page.
If you accept the cookie banner, Google Analytics sets _ga and _ga_* cookies on your browser to count and de-duplicate visits. These are set by Google under Google's privacy terms; we do not receive any personal data we can re-identify. Decline the banner and they are never set.
How to change your mind
Click Cookie preferences in the footer of any page. Or clear cookies in your browser — next time you visit, we'll ask again. Or email privacy@verif-ai.co.uk and we'll update it for you.
